• Each form has 78 items that sample 40 minimal pair phonetic contrasts (consonant place, manner and voicing; vowel place, height and manner; syllable shape, number and stress).

  • The stimuli in each form also sample all vowels and consonants of North American English, with the exception of voiced “th” (e.g., that) and “zh” (e.g,. azure).

  • Deep breathThe closed-set judging task is used to identify error patterns in the child’s production of minimal pair contrasts.  These error profiles help to identify treatment targets for increasing intelligibility.
