The Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network funded development of the TOCS+™ Software.
TOCS+ software includes programs to:

  • Measure children’s speech intelligibility (TOCS+ Intelligibility Measures; Speech Intelligibility Probe for Children with Cleft Palate or SIP-CCLP) using word identification tasks to provide intelligibility scores (percent words identified correctly by listeners)

  • Record children’s spontaneous speech (TOCS+ Recorder-Player) for up to 15 minutes

  • Administer and record speech maximum performance tasks (TOCS+ MPT) to aid in identification of childhood motor speech disorders

User guides are available for the most recent versions of the software.

TOCS+™ Software runs on Windows 98 and XP and requires a computer compatible microphone (head-mounted preferred).
